If you’ve been holding off on an African safari, waiting for an itinerary that included cosmopolitan Capetown, thundering Victoria Falls, a Chobe river cruise, and an authentic deluxe tented camp in the Okavango Delta, all in the same trip….your wait is over.
Experience the mystique of the Dark Continent, soaking in all of the unique sights, sounds, tastes and smells that only Africa can bring. Our journey starts with four nights in Capetown and includes Table Mountain, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, and the Cape of Good Hope as well as a full day excursion out to wine country.
From there we fly from Capetown to one of the seven natural wonders of the world and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Victoria Falls. Tom felt it wrong that so many companies force a choice of Capetown or Victoria Falls. During our two day stay we see enjoy the Stanley & Livingstone at Victoria Falls, tour the majestic falls, relish our first game drive, and delight in a sunset cruise.
We then take a short drive to the Chobe River where we embark on a truly unique “river” safari experience, spending three nights aboard the deluxe Zambezi Queen. The ship acts as a floating home base as we explore by land and river for a truly diverse game viewing adventure.
A short flight then takes us to the everchanging Okavango Delta (the world’s largest inland delta) specifically the Camp Moremi Game Reserve. Unlike parks like Kruger you won’t run into day trippers, or areas congested with safari vehicles,…just you and nature (isn’t that the reason you wanted to go?).
Our three nights at the Xakanaxa deluxe tented camp will unfortunately have to come to a close as we then transfer to the airport and begin our trip home, filled with the memories that only Africa can bring. And have the satisfaction that you went Tom’s way.
